Star 4/12/93, 9:30am
I felt my heart break...
Despairing, waterfalls in the night.
The sounds slowed and stopped,
They were replaced bythe small whipping noise,
Grass lashing out at boots.
A single person under the cloudy night sky.
He came to a pool, and tasted of my tears.
His feet rested softly on the scarred flesh of my soul.
He sat for a few minutes, teasing the grass with his fingers,
Lay back against me and watched as the clouds began to part,
Promises a sunny morning.
Somewhere in the distance, a crash,
Theis traveller disappeared although his touch lingered.
A hand offered in peace, refused,
The gate to the garden closed with the snapping of a single steel latch.
Looking for acceptance, again,
The single hand prooffered....
The garden gate is open.
