Ice 3/1/93
When I heard your voice,
My crippled ears sighed,
When I felt your love,
My crippled fear died...
When I tasted your lips,
I could again feel my feet,
When I met your eyes,
I could feel my heart beat.
With joyfull reflection,
More hope than I've lost...
I wonder about love
And about love's deadly cost...
Too shy to come out fully,
In shadows I hide,
A crippled reflection,
A victim of pride...
I lean on my sisters,
And feel their embrace,
But I want to touch you,
My hand on your face...
I'll see you quite soon,
One breath on the morrow,
A hand held in friendship,
A hug shared in sorrow.
